Pagefile not going away.

Are you sure you disabled the page file on the SSD? It's possible to have more than one, and even though you enabled it on the main HDD you didn't disable the one on the SSD.
 
If you have the pagefile disabled you will not be able to use Sleep or Hibernate modes in Windows. Am I correct in this statement?

No, you still can. You just might have issues coming out of sleep. Hibernation is a separate file on the HDD.
 
When you disable the page file on C drive, Windows does not delete the file. The File may not be in use, but will stay there until you delete it manually.
 
PAGE FILE ENABLED - you can delete the file "pagefile.sys" at any time,but it will be recreated on the next reboot.

PAGE FILE DISABLED - you can delete the file "pagefile.sys" at any time and it will not be recreated on the next reboot.


The file which contains hibernation data is called "hiberfil.sys".You can delete that one too if you are 100% that you will not use hibernate mode.
