I have this computer. Click here.

I'm buying the XFX NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ or the normal 9800gtx for it. Should my computer beable to handle it?

Thanks.

EDIT: I looked into an ATI 7750, how does this sound?

It will likely fit, but you will need to upgrade your power supply to install it. That aside, why are you trying to use such an old card through?

It will fit but you will need to upgrade your PSU. You'll need at least 400W for that card.

67 bucks isn't a lot for a graphics card and a power supply. I'd save up more so you can et yourself a better graphics card and power supply in the long run. 9800s are old now.

Yeah save your money. Maybe buy a new PSU now and then save money for a new video card. If you want to do a decent amount of gaming I'd get at least 100 dollars for a video card by itself.

For heavy gaming, you need $100 mininum. And thats with a used GPU. You could probly spend $40 and get a very low powered card like the GT 240. Dont expect to good of performance out of it though. It will play most games on low.

I'm not going to be playing "heavy" games. Just shit like Sims, MMO's, Minecraft, and GTA SA.

I just wanted to know if the 9800gt will do good with 300 watts, or the 240 gt.

Any card that doesn't require a PCI E connector will work fine. 9800GT included.

9800GT Green Edition, no external power needed.

That's likely the best card you will get before needing a dedicated rail from the PSU, which your 300w unit won't have.

Still I wouldn't want to risk it, that's a huge amount to ask out of such a measly power supply
