Can anyone recommend a good temp moniter for w/7 64
tried a few but all seem to work on the 32

You don't need to install the add-ons. You can just decline those parts of the install.

Just about any free programs are going to come with optional junk programs. Many of the most respected free tools do it. It's how they make their money.

Dude, I just checked and SpeedFan doesn't even have any additional programs bundled with it. I'm pretty sure you clicked on one of the advertisements on their site and not the actual download link.
