startup help

i just put my pc together and when i turn it on it starts up for 2-3 seconds then goes off then starts again..it keeps doing this until i switch it off..
any help would be great>>>

You would have to do it in the BIOS.

hit the del key or F2 or whatever is required.

basically i have put a new board with new ram
1 gb video card 2 drives ..then i turned it on and all it does is
lights up then off then lights up then off...
i haven't even loaded the board drivers on yet as
it doesnt even get to turn monitor on....

you did use the brass standoffs between the case and the motherboard, right.

Are you sure all the parts are combatable?
Are you trying to boot from the old h/d after changing the m/b

Please list all your parts so we can make sure they are compatible. Also, did you make sure you used the brass standoffs like AlienMenace brought up?

you did use the brass standoffs between the case and the motherboard, right.
