title says it. was wondering what would be the better way to go. I have all 3 cards now and am currently using the 670 4 gig card. im just wondering if using 2 x 6950 cards with 2 gigs on each, would be better than my 1 670 4 gig card. im running at 1080p, and play all shooters and currently wanting better performance out of crisis 3, hence was wondering if a xfire set up will be better than 1 670. if so, how much better, and should I sell the 670, keeping the 2 6950's, or sell the 6950's, and get a 2nd 670 when they come down in a while? thanks

very simple answer, keep the 670 .
first of all 2 x 6950 is crossfire and will have somtimes microstuttering, so you will by alot of time searching for the good drivers and caps, from amd.
the crosfire 6950 uses more power also.
so stick to the 670, also because its a 4gb card, on 1080 2gb is enough but if you want multiple monitors in the futere it will help alot that extra 2gb.

thanks. that makes better sence of things. I can always get another 670 down the road. ive ran NVidia sli a lot in the past, and never had micro stuttering. I think ill go that route maybe in the future, but for now ill stick with the 670, and just put the 6950's in 2 separate builds for sale, with i3 and i5

thats the best thing you can do i think.

ran test, platforms were i3 at 3.3ghz, and 8 gig 1600mhz ram, with mushkin ssd. in heaven, the 6950 by itself scored 861 with 1080p, tess on extreme and all specs maxed out. the 670 scored 1874 with same settings. so I figure, 1 6950 scored 800 something, so 2 would get what, 1500 max on the score? I feel that my 1 670 is better than 2 6950's. in grid 2, all maxed out at 1080p, the 6950 alone gets around 37fps..the 670 prgs 60 all day. im not going to crossfire and do tests. I think that if one card pulls 861, then it would be 90% more gpu power, which still wont match my 670, and if it does, it wouldn't be worth the extra heat and power. sticking with the 670, and selling the 2 x 6950's in builds. thanks
