Interpreting Gigabyte specs

I'm looking for a Gigabyte LGA775 board that has among other things, PCIe 2.0 or higher.

I've been looking at specs on their boards and notice there are some that in the overview specify PCIe 2.0 but some for example this GA-EP43T-UD3L that say "Ultimate graphics performance with PCI-E x16 interface" but doesn't specify PCIe 2.0 but in the specifications area it says:

1.1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (The PCI Express x16 slot conforms to PCI Express 2.0 standard.)

Is this the same as saying it has a PCIe 2.0 slot? This particular board supports DDR3 Ram, is there such a thing as a board with DDR3 that doesn't have a PCIe 2.0 slot?

Thanks

edit....looked up the chipset because it looked funny...

According to Intel the P43 is PCIe 1.1.

That being said, you will be able to plug in a PCIe 2.0 card into it.

Where did you see this? I see many P43 boards that state they have PCIe 2.0 slots.

Contradicting statements from Intel.

Here it supports PCIe 2.0

Say they have PCIe 2.0 too.

If you look at spec. at the bottom of the page it says its PCIe 2.0

The PCI Express x16 slot conforms to PCI Express 2.0 standard

Hmm. Ark says the P43 is 1.1. Although Ark also says the P45 supports 1.1 which directly contradicts that PDF.

It's thoroughly inconsistent. There's lots of sources around the interwebs saying it is in fact PCIe 2.0.

Either way, you shouldn't be limited on what video cards you can plug into it.
