Hello :)

I'm just wondering if its possible for me to buy a new generation Intel i7 and install it into my computer?

Is it also possible for me to sell my i5 processor that is in there?

All depends on what motherboard or brand and model of pc you have. Give us that info and we can help you determine if you can or not.

3rd Generation Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40GHz Socket LGA1155

MSI Z77A-G43 Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) Motherboard

OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w Silent SLI Ready ATX2 Modular Power Supply

PNY NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 Graphics Card

Windows 7 64 bit

also do you think its worth me upgrading the RAM for the new playstation 4 games? I currently have 8gb

There is really nothing to upgrade to in the socket type you have.

And since when can you play playstation games on a pc?
 
Thanks everyone, sorry I meant to play for example games at the same level graphics as the Playstation 4,

For example, Need for Speed Rivals comes out on the PS4, PC, and Xbox One,
so I wish to be able to play Need for Speed Rivals on my computer at the same graphics levels of the Playstation 4 or Xbox one :)

Is it possible for me to upgrade to a 4th Generation i5 or i7?

for games, you don't have to upgrade youre cpu, better go if you whant to upgrade for a newer videocard.
but yes you can put a i7 on that bord, and sell youre 3570k.
