2 x 7950 or stick with what i have

What games are you playing and at what resolutions?

If you are only at 1920x1080, there is no point, stick with the 670 until at least the 800/9000 series cards are out, or these current gen drop in price.

I play games like crisis 3 ( which is why I was thinking about running a dual gpu set up because I cant play the game completely maxed out with 60fps) id like to get my frame rate between 50 and 60 at all times. but other 1st person shooters I play like COD and BF. grid 1 and 2, assasins creeds, and far cry 3 which I cant max out either. I play at 1080p. I was just wondering since $180 isn't that much to pay for a dual gpu set up, since I got the 670 free as a gift.. but still, should I stay with the 670? I suppose I could always get another one of them when the prices come down? it would be a while though, and I was hoping to play crisis 3 and far cry 3 maxed out sooner

ive never had issues with sli or xfire ever. so im not worried about issues as you say. still need advice on what I should do. and getting a 780 is out of the ? it would cost me much more than $180 for the card than what the 2 x 7950's would cost after selling the 670

still open to other opinions. I can get $250 for my 670 right now. I can put the towards the pair of sapphire 7950's (3gig), and have to pay $190 out of pocket. so that would be a total of $440 im spending on 2 cards. or should I take that $440, and put it towards a single better card? if so, I will not want to spend more than $450. it just seems that 2 x 7950's will out perform any single card for that price range. maybe im missing something, which is why im on here asking. thanks

I'd go the 'single better card' route rather than two cards in CF or SLI.

I wouldn't agree. SLI scales almost 100% and if you want 60FPS at 1080p or greater in games like Crysis 3, BF4, you'll need more than a single 780.

It will also be cheaper than the other options.

I cant get another 670. my $450 budget is if I were to sell my current 670 for $250, then add another $200 on top of that. if I were to get the 2 x 7950's, then I would have to sell my 670 for $250 then add another $190, and ill have a cross fire set up.

still open to suggestions. im more leaning towards 2 x 7950's, but I still need more opinions.. in vally benchmark, I currently score 1933 with my 670. I have seen vally results with 2 x 7950's and they are scoring 3700+. I think that would get me on full settings completely maxed out in crisis 3 and bf4....but like I said, still not sure what to do
