windows installation error 0x80070570

hi guys, got my first pc build running but so far its not going well with regards to installing windows 8 64bit. i get the the install streen put the product code in etc and it starts to install. about 60-70% through the installation it comes up with the error message 0x80070570 aswell as saying "windows cannot install required files. the file may be corrupt or missing. make sure that all files required for installation are available and restart the installation".

and then the pc restarts. ive tried with different sets of ram ie, 2 sticks at a time, 1 stick at a time and 4 at a time and the same still occurs. also theres no specific percentage it stops at its just usually around the 60-71% mark and the pc restarts. ive tried this several times but the same keeps happening.

Im also installing it from disk so i cannot go to the desktop obviously or anything like that. ive looked around and havent really found a solid answer and was wondering if anyone could help me as im really annoyed that i cannot get it to work.

EDIT: it has also come up with "your pc has encountered a problem" with a big sad face on the screen it than says collection error data and restarts.

it also come up saying that i cannot install because of some partition format on the SSD and i have to restart to get it to work again. it also comes up sometimes with an operating system was not found ctrl + alt + del to restart. this is usually after press any key to boot from cd or dvd.

i have a 120gb kingston hyper x 3k SSD
installing windows 8 64 bit.

EDIT: it wont even complete, preparing files anymore without the same error message. this is the first installation step.
EDIT A BIT MORE: its now on getting files ready for installation but get the same error message at about 3% now as it shut off preparing files at about 3% also. i removed the previous attempt partitions and it didnt get very far, about 3% as stated above on the first step "copying files" it then went onto getting files ready for installation and again at about 3% it came up with your pc encountered a problem and restarted. no error message this time.

Was a 64-bit Win 7 or XP on the your system previously? Was the drive newly formatted before you ran the install media? Did you try disconnecting all extra devices and drives before retrying? Where did the Windows 8 media come from? Oh, and you got a BSOD with a frown face.

brand new build just finished so all new parts and no previous versions of windows. nothing else on the drive apart from the attempt on installing windows. i only have the disk drive and hdd connected aswell as coolers and chassis fans. I got the windows 8 disk from amazon 64 bit came in a sealed envelope (brand new). ive read up and BSOD is quite common with this error but i cannot find anything about it.

I also just noticed that below the BSOD it says error: bad_pool_header. What that means i do not have a clue. the install got to about 70% this time. pretty much the same as all previous attempts.

all parts are new apart from cd drive because i had to borrow one. it dont sound the best but seems to work. Cpu is running stable at 24-23c in bios temps with corsair h100i. same temps as mobo.

ALSO, my RAM comes up as 1333mhz, although it is 1600mhz. it states on the box and on label. could this have anything to with it?

the boot_led is also light red on mobo untill i go on to install windows. then it goes off.

Check your mboard manual. You should be able to adjust the DRAM to 1600 in your BIOS. Voltage will want to go up a bit.

I would run the diagnostics on the drive, too.

how do i run the diagnostics on the drive? and i will adjust the RAM once windows is installed fully. currently on live chat to a microsoft technician who hopefully can find out the cause of the problem and hopefully fix it.

The drive's mfg site should have diagnostics software available that you can download and create your own boot-able CD to run the tests.

no i havent :/, was i supposed too lol. i dont have a mb manual so cant really refer to anything. what should i be looking for in the BIOS?

I do have an online manual which is the exact same but says nothing really about bios settings.
 
I didn't see the SSD info first time I read your post for some reason, sorry. I have never had a motherboard manual that didn't go into details about configuring and BIOS settings ... which mboard is it?

Asus p8z77-v pro motherboard.
 
i just saw something about someone deleting files created by windows that began with a $ and that sorted the problem. Im wondering can you do this from the bios or some other way?

Check out Sean's Guide to Installing Windows 8 on SSD Drives. Perhaps that will help after you rule out the RAM.

tried another RAM stick in another slot and its now on 91% and has been for the lest few minutes and im thinking its stuck. due to the sound coming from the dvd drive sounds like a spring. no error code as yet but its just stuck on 91% now. im thinking i might have to restart the installation, ill give it 30 minutes if there is no change ill re-install again.

lol i know. had to turn it off after 30 minutes on 91 percent. anyway just woke up from falling asleep and got the error code 0x80070017 with the same message. this means bad disk or bad dvd drive. id think its my dvd drive as it dont sound too good. sounds like a spring half the time and when the pc turns off you can kindoff hear it scraping on the bearings which i guess is not good. it also sometimes fails to power properly like it will start the install with almost no sound what so ever and get to 70-80 percent really slowly. sometimes it will whir up and take only a minute or two but have the same results. i guess either way ill try again later today or ill have to wait a week untill i get the rest off the pc parts, ie. gpu, dvd drive, HDD etc. as i get paid friday. it could be RAM. although i doubt all 4 sticks are dead even though all show up as 4096mb each in bios.

i cannot say how far it got as i fell asleep. it could have gone onto the next stage of installation but i cannot say ill try again later tonight. up at 5am for work... home at 5pm, so a long day to wait. and if nothing fixes it... another long week untill items delivered Saturday.
 
Try this:

Clear the CMOS.
Update the BIOS on the motherboard and load default settings.
Change which SATA port the SSD is connected to.
Update the BIOS on the SSD.
Run Boot and Nuke DVD for the SSD
Only install the very very minimum of hardware and try again.
