What hard drive shall I buy?

Hi everyone :)

I really need to get a new hard drive for my computer with at least 1TB of space, but the problem is that I can only afford to spend about £55 and I'm not really sure which one to go for, I do not understand what all the specs mean but I think this one looks really good?

Please can somebody recommend a hard drive? also the more space the better, might be willing to pay a bit more somehow if I can, if its a good deal :)

awesome thanks! :) I thought that it looked really good, but my friend said that I should only buy a Western Digital hard drive, is this a better one?

Also just wondering, do I need to buy a Sata cable or do they usually come with one?

If it's OEM like the one posted you may, but your motherboard should have come with some (I remember helping you about a year ago to build your first PC. ;) ) Check and see if you have any left over and if not just buy one.

The Seagate drives are good, I'd go for it.

Awesome thanks hopefully I have one somewhere, I put all of the boxes somewhere safe so I will have a look in them later :) and also I cannot thank you enough for all your help last year lol :) me and my brother are so glad, because without your help we would not have had this pc and all my friends want to build a computer and are asking me to help them but I said join computerforums lol :) but I learnt a lot about how to build them now through your help thanks :)

No problem Alex, pleased you and your brother have learned some new skills and are enjoying your gaming rig. I'm also pleased it's still all working OK! :good:

thanks :) its working really really well :) and the games on the computer are so cheap compared to our xbox! :)
