Torn Between Two Power Supplies...Input Requested

Any reason why you think you need 1000 watts? The reason I'm asking is most people don't understand when you need a certain wattage unit. Even if you are going SLI or crossfire between 2 cards then at most you would need is 750 -800 watts.

Well they both look the same in term of specs but i guess it comes down to looks and personal preference. Corsair is known for their power supplies, although EVGA is great too and that psu has a 10 year warranty.
If you care about looks than i would go if the cosair psu, if you wanna save 10 bucks and want it now, than go with the EVGA one. Its all up to you. And also what do you have in your PC that requries 1000w lol, do u have like 2-3 titans in there?

Like johnb35 said. Do you really need a 1000W power supply. The EVGA is made by SuperFlower. The Corsair is made by CWT/ Channel Well Technology. I would take the Corsair. Or the Corsair HX 1050

The Corsair is made by CWT which may or may not be a good maker but the EVGA is made by Super Flower which is an excellent maker. I'd buy only Seasonic/Super Flower made so go for the EVGA.

If you dont know who CWT is, you should not be giving advice on power supplies

I've reviewed CWT plenty and they are questionable. The good PSUs have more circuitry and components that CWT leave out.

Dont have a clue do you? Tell me what components and circuitry they leave out! CWT make (some) of the best supplies out there.

EVGA is not just made by SuperFlower, plus as you say some of there's are are pretty much crap too. Some of EVGA are made by Enhance, which is not to bad. But some EVGA are made by HEC equals CRAP/ FSP/ Etasis too.

With GTX580SLI, i often drag nearly 900W from the wall. BEtter to be safe. But yeah a single titan would be fine with a quality 850.

I knew I should've saved the link but I'm not going to look for it. I thought it's from hard tech site but it's not.

Maybe it's dated and CWT got better now but this site took it apart and rated each component and noted some components missing found in better PSUs. It wasn't very good then.

Maybe all that changed and I'm wrong for now.

Channelwell has always made some pretty excellent power supplies*...for all intents and purposes, CWT and Seasonic are essentially the measure by which other power supplies have historically been judged (best examples being the original TX750 and PCP&C Silencer 750W, two of the highest rated units multiple years ago. The old TX750 was based on CWT's PSH platform , while the PC Power & Cooling 750W Silencer was a variant of the S12 platform).

*There was an issue with CWT built Antec units ~5-6 years ago,the theory at the time was Antec wanted the units built cheaply and the capacitors that CWT originally specced out on the PSH platform were replaced with much inferior Fuhjyyu units (other PSH platform supplies utilized quality capacitors). Those capacitors were much less effective as a filter, and life expectancy was quite a bit shorter than quality ones from someone such as Nippon or Nichicon. The number one thing to remember however is that they're a manufacturer, they'll manufacture whatever the customer specifies.

Same 12V rail amperage, similar efficiency, one is 200 bucks the other 160 with twice the warranty. You do the math.

Now I see what's going on. The link I had was on another brand and that's why I thought they were questionable. The reviews I went through looking for the link surprised me about CWT being compared to quality builds so I see my mistake. They are tailored to customers' spec and that can be good or bad.

Now my other PC has the Corsair CX430, am I ok with it?
