PSU help, please?

I'd like to check this with you guys here, if that's alright!

I've been told that it'll be a good idea to purchase a 600W PSU, so my computer will be more than capable of running a certain graphics card. This one, to be exact --> http://bit.ly/17s2lbP

Is this correct? Is 600W needed? Or will 500W be enough? Also, I have a link to two different PSU's. A 500W and a 600W. If someone could tell me how to find out the info needed about my computer to see if these PSU's would be compatible in my computer, I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you,

Lewis :)!

Get a Corsair CX500M (modular, reduces cable clutter) or the regular CX500. You could also do the CX600(M) if you want some headroom. The card requirements only need a 500 watt PSU.

What are the rest of your specs and also what case do you have?

I'll post these pictures here while I get my specs. I had a chat with the company who creates my computer. I made sure everything I'm wanting to get is actually compatible. (Such as upgrading using the PSI-E x16 slot). I'm not sure if these pictures will help at all right now, but at least they're here in case they can. I'm also upgrading my RAM. I have a Zoostorm i7 2600 PC.

Hopefully these pictures will help a little!

Also be sure that the PSU will have two 6 pin connectors for the video card.

Explain, please? I'm sorry, i'm just a little clueless when it comes to the PSU. Good job I have someone who works for an I.T business living near by. :P Does the PSU need to connect to the new graphics card directly?

Yes, it's a good PSU.

Novatech is a great place to buy from too. They often give you next day delivery even if you don't pay for it and go for the free delivery. :D

It all looks good to me! And this will definitely work with a Zoostorm i7 2600? I mean, it looks like it's all compatible. And since you linked me to it, I'm guessing it is. :P

So, I've been doing some work on getting everything gathered up and ready for when I upgrade my PC. So far, this seems like the final decision of what I'll be getting.

I'll include a link to my computer as it is right now (without upgrades). Keep in mind that this link doesn't include all the information about my PC, so just ask if you need to know anything more, and I'll try my best to give you the information required!

Graphics Card: http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/c...70402-10p.html
RAM: http://amzn.to/1hnYW1r

I currently don't have a good enough PSU for this graphics card, so I'm hoping someone here will be able to give me some suggestions to which PSU I could upgrade to. (I have basically no knowledge on PSU's, so I don't know which ones will be compatible with my computer) I know that people have suggested stuff previously in this thread, but since things have changed since then I'd like to make sure again that it'll all work together.

Again, ask for more information if needed! :)

Thanks!

Also, I've checked with the Zoostorm company, and they've given me details so I can make sure the RAM and graphics card will be compatible!

Both your links go to the RAM. What graphics card are you looking?

Most graphics cards should be fine with a 600W PSU. Did I not confirm on the last page that the CX600M will be fine and should fit inside your case? ;)

Oh, that wasn't supposed to happen! :O
I tried to add hyperlinks, so you could just click on the links. I must have added the same hyperlink for each one..

Here's the graphics card: http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/...icscards/nvidiagtx760series/zt-70402-10p.html

Oh, and yes, you did mention about the 600W PSU. I just wanted to make sure! I'm very.. just wanting to make sure I have no problems.

(The graphics card does fit in the case, I've made sure.)

Are you intending to add that RAM to your existing RAM or are you going replace your existing RAM with that?

I would suggest replacing your existing RAM with that RAM.
