hi.
i'm looking for a new (gaming) computer in price range of 950-1300€ (1280-1750$). i want at least 8GB RAM.
i was observing some computers (2 of them i've given consideration):

HP Z230T 3,4 GHz (WM586EA)
[1.247,00 €]
processor: Intel Core i5 4670 (3,4 GHz, 6 MB)
motherboard: Intel PCH C226
graphics card: integrated Intel HD 4600
RAM: 16 GB DDR3-1600 (2x 8 GB) nECC
hard-drive: 2 TB, 7200 rpm
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) installed + Windows 8 Professional (64-bit) licence

and

HP EliteDesk 800 G1 3,4 GHz (DC961TC)
[1.117,42 €]
processor: Intel Core i7 4770 (3,4 GHz, 8 MB)
motherboard: Intel Q87 Express
graphics card: integrated Intel HD 4600
RAM: 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz
hard-drive: 128 GB SSD + 1 TB, 7200 rpm
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) + Microsoft Windows 8 Professional licenca

do you think any of these two is any good?

i'll use my computer mostly for gaming, i'm not sure if any of these two computers will play games like fifa 14, gta 4, world of warcraft, skyrim, the sims 3, pes 2014 at least on medium settings...

can anyone else suggest me any good gaming computer for this price range?

Both of these computers are OK and would play games you mentioned. They also have OS and licence for an upgrade, so this is quite good and for +1200€ you can get quite a powerful computer (not a super-computer ofc, but a really solid one). It would also be good if your computer would be upgradeable, 16GB RAM is more than enough, but you should be able to add a better processor (Intel i7 serie is newer) later on.

Well, HP Z230T has more RAM, which is great, but it has slightly weaker processor, while EliteDesk 800 has better processor, but less GB of RAM. Idk it's your choice I would go for the Z230T...But really there isn't much difference between them besides RAM. And they're both okay.

BTW, you may want to build a custom computer for gaming by yourself. It would save you some money, and you could put your preferred components in it. Just watch out if they're compatible and don't forget about OS! :)

I'm not really an expert with computers, so anyone can correct me if I'm wrong (obviously I hope I'm not) and don't take me by my word.
P.S.: Sorry for my (weak) English.

Personally I would go with the i5 build

Double the ram

2x HDD space

Easily add a 128GB SSD

I5/I7 difference isn't that great, especially when overclocking

Just my $0.02 :)

They are not gaming machine. Only with integrated GPU!
Which country are you from?

i'm from slovenia (a country in central europe), but i can order things from other countries (depends on shipment cost).
and i was concerned about integrated GPU aswell, but don't know where to search. maybe i'll just build my own PC.

thanks for this, it looks like a good build.
and yeah, in europe (at least in my country) we have more expensive computers, but i think it won't exceed my budged.
