Hi guys:i have run into a problem with my Xubuntu12.04! the other day
when i started up the PC,a Dell pentium4 with Xubuntu installed only OPS,
i Had a black blank screen on boot with< Grub Rescue > tried to use the CD to boot no avail then i tried to reinstall Xubuntu No Avail, then since i keep many CDs different Distros around i tried Linux Mint 14 Nadia i struggled a little bit at first but at second try it booted up then it installed smoothly,
today i was inquiring about this Grub Rescue problem and came across this Blog about the solution, since i did not try it and don't know if it works ,I'd like your opinion on this for a future problem of this arising in the future!

Hey Ivtec! I've been using Linux for a long time. One thing I've noticed when installing a distro is to make sure the disk is actually burned correctly. I have had some instances where the CD burn might mess up due to the burn speed. So maybe when you goto burn a CD, burn it at a little bit slower rate. Also, it sounds like when you installed Xubuntu, you might not have chosen a correct amount of hard drive space for the boot and memory space? Other than that I'm not quite sure! I hope this helps!

Thanks Scratty: the Grub Rescue problem, it had to be the 2 HDD connected
in series to the mother board, i disconnected the 10gb hdd and reinstalled
Xubuntu 12.04LTS with same cd iso and it has been good ever since,
about the install i always choose the default installation.
