I don't think you will be able to. Govs are trying to identify internet users in any way they can. All the softwares you will be able to find will have a weakness and that weakness will be used in order to identify you.
kind of depressing then...was hoping you tech whiz kids would know a way round it.
Unless you're doing some kind of top secret stuff there are no reasons for you to be scared of the Gov watching you. BUT they shouldn't either.
i disagree. My right might be another person's wrong. So a jew thought he was right to be a jew, doing nothing wrong but Hitler thought he was wrong for being a jew so had him killed.
Also if the likes of Snowden (a hero in my eyes) can run off with our data then what's to stop someone with more devious motives from doing so?

The USA and a few other governments hold the keys to the internet, all they have to do is turn the servers off and no one will be online.
You can also bet that the NSA is spying on Tor also they are not stupid.

but what about regulation? like could it ever be possible that they wont let you use the internet anonymously or hide you location? I know there's talk of cracking down on VPNs.
I can send post anonymously so we should be able to do the same online.

No they would never regulate that, why you may ask? Because even though you may think you are moving around secretly they will still find you and it is best for people to move around feeling like they are not being tracked then to shut down all privacy and those who are committing wrongful acts will find new methods to do there business.
The idea of them tracking me on the Web does not bother me since it is technically public space, don't get me wrong I wish they wouldn't but it would be a pointless argument. What bothers me is once they find you on the web they are hacking computer to look at what is on your computer. I am sure they need suspicion since it would be crazy to hack every system. Right now the only systems safe from those are security focused Linux/Unix operating systems like BackTrack Linux and Pfsense Unix.
I don't think it is scary they are doing this since they have been doing this for years, what scares me is they use to do it secretly cause they thought it would create a huge commotion. Since it didn't, not enough for them to care anyway I wonder what else they will come up with doing to see if we get a reaction out of it.
