Just ordered a ASUS GTX 770 gpu, and a rosewell 1000w psu, i have researched for days and am pretty sure it will work with my board. Can anyone confirm this for me so i can ease the stress. I have a asus cm1855 pc, and the board is a Case Orientation Vertical
North Bridge Chipset AMD 970
South Bridge Chipset SB950

Didn't need 1000 watts. A 600 watt would have sufficed. The only thing you need to be concerned with is that the card will fit in the case.

ok, and thanks for the fast reply :) it is compatible though? and are you talking about fitting on the slot or fitting in the case its self?

Just took my computer apart and took some measurements, the card is 10.7 inches long, which means some of it will be off my motherboard. The case is 15 inches high/long so i have plenty of room, just not sure if it's ok for some of it to be off the motherboard? and do gpu's tend to hover or sit flush on the board?

So long as your motherboard has a PCI Express slot (and all of them have done since about 2004), then yes, it's compatible.
