Hello all,

I have a few questions about building a custom gaming PC. I've bought a CPU already, now I'm trying to find a compatible motherboard that has the features I want (32Gb DDR3 RAM capacity,

First: Do any gaming video cards have an HDMI output?

Second: Can anyone explain the difference "mATX", "mini ATX", "ATX", and "Ultra ATX"?

Third: Is it better to have an HDMI out on the motherboard or graphics card (if it has one)?

Fourth: If I use the HDMI out on a graphics card, will it put out the sound as well?

Thanks in advance for any help!

1. Most all do now.

2. Its the size of the motherboard, like going from a small mATX up to a larger Extended ATX.

3. The HDMI output on the motherboard is for the onboard video. If you use a Video card you would use its output.

4. Yes

Thank you for the quick response, Stranglehold! Keeping your answers in mind, along with the fact that I've already purchased a CPU (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009O7YUF6/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), what motherboard and RAM setup would you suggest I buy?

Can't help you with motherboard, as I do not really have much experience with AMD products, but skip 32GB of RAM. You do not need it, nor will you need it for anything within next several years. 32 kits stil have some silly prices on them. The standard for now is 8GB, so I would go for the sweet spot of 16GB. This way you will future-proof yourself a lot, without spending unnecessary amounts of cash for nothing (nothing for personal use really uses 32GB of RAM).

So unless you will be rendering high-detail, 4K resolution, 3D scenes, go for 16GB.

How much are you looking to spend on a motherboard? What do you plan on doing with this computer?

This. 16gb is plenty for the greater majority of users out there.

Depends if you ever decide to run CF or SLI. Plus how much do you want to spend.

If your not going to run SLI or CF, these are about the best 970 boards. A Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P or GA-970A-UD3.

If you might run SLI or CF. From the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 up to the UD7.

Like said above 8 or 16BG is plenty.
