I already have these cards, so suggesting different one is out of the question. yes, I do have 2 x evga gtx 670 4gb ftw+ cards. I have tested the scaling, and with them running at x8 each in the pci-e lanes, they scale right around 90%. example= 1 card @ x16 will get me a score in 3d mark fire strike of 6059. running 2 cards @ x8 will get me a score of 11175. so I think that the cards scale pretty well with just x8 pci-e lanes for both cards.
and correct, 2 of thee cards is more powerful then a single titan or 780ti. and also, correct in saying that 2 cards with 4gb each still only equals 4gb total vram (it does not double).
is it true that if when running a 1440p monitor, you don't have to turn up the AA as much? im just worried about some games not running well, and getting regular dipps below 40fps, as I feel gaming at this low of fps is not enjoyable to me. if they are occasional, then that's fine. id like to average 60fps. I know most games will play fine at this resolution with my setup, but games like bf4, and especialy CRYSIS 3 worries me. I suppose I could always keep mu 25" 1080p monitor hooked up next to the 1440p monitor and just play the games that struggle on the 1440p, on the 1080p monitor.
