Issue with Dell XP

Recently, I had to restore my Dell laptop back to it's manufacturers condition. Now I am unable to connect to my wifi. My wireless connection icon doesn't even show up. Under device manager, my network adapter is listed as Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller. I've tried to download the driver from the Dell support site, but I'm not exactly sure which to download, and the few I have, haven't went well.There are 7 different things listed under other controllers, all with yellow question marks next to them. I'm not exactly computer savvy when it comes to things like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
 
You need to reinstall all the applicable drivers. Whats the model number of your laptop?
 
You said XP, but this laptop came with windows 7 preinstalled. Here are your drivers you need.

Those should take care of the 7 entries that still need drivers.
 
Audio - This is not the correct audio driver for this system (xp). The installer will now exit.

Wireless - The installation of this wireless software requires 64 bit windows.
The installation of this wireless software requires windows 7 or newer.

Video - Doesn't mean minimum requirements.

Those were the three I just tried through your link. Any clue as to what could be going on?

So you installed XP then? Why would you do that if it came pre-loaded with 7? 7 will perform way better. Besides, XP isn't getting updates after April 8th. Dell doesn't even have drivers for your computer made for XP.

I don't ever recall doing so. What in the heck did I do? What can be done about it?! Now I'm panicking...
 
Right click on computer, click on properties. Tell us what operating system is installed.
 
Is there a way to restore it back to it's factory condition without a disk? Perhaps with built in recovery partitions?
 
How did you go and recover it in the first place? You can try booting the laptop and pressing F12, then choose Recovery if it's available. But I have a feeling however you reinstalled Windows you probably deleted the recovery partition.
 
I'm sure I accidentally used the Windows XP disk for my girlfriends computer, as I can't find anything with Windows 7. Yeah, recovery isn't available with F12 and I can't repair with F8. It looks like I'll just need to purchase a Windows 7 installation CD, right?

They're available online. Just download the version you have a license for (the license is located under the battery most likely) and burn it to a DVD or use the Microsoft USB/DVD tool to burn it to a flashdrive.

Once you have Windows 7 installed you can use the drivers John linked on the first page.
 
Does it come with an activation key? Has it already been used? The easiest way to do this would be to download the windows 7 home premium 64bit ISO from the link Voyagerfan gave you and use the key on the bottom of the laptop to activate it.
