my old Phenom ii X4 940 OC'd

Thought I would play around a little with overclocking my processor today. I used AMD Overdrive to overclock. I can run stable at 3.6ghz, but i did do a suicide run and made it to 3.9ghz. The voltage was set at 1.52 and not the 1.72v as it says in the validated CPU-Z. Here is the CPU-Z validated shot of that.

I always had my 965BE overclocked to 3.92, but could never get it over 4Ghz like I wanted to. Good job though :good:

Nice overclock for a Phenom II. You'll be hard pressed to get it any higher than that. :good:

My Phenom II X2 555 BE does 4.2GHz on 1.45v, 3.8GHz on 1.275v (stock volt is around 1.2-1.3 and everything in between).
Based on this thread, looks like I have a very good chip - or is it drastically different in general for the dual core versions?
