Hi all,
My mom will give me money for a new CPU and Mobo, on 6th of april, and I was wondering if I can run a 9370 with a 970 chipset and 212 evo, even if no 970 board supports it, a friend gave me these 2 links on skype.

And no, no Intel CPUs, they suck (IMO), if your posts contains the word "Intel" I won't take it under consideration.

The second link is a 990 board, which supports the 9370. The only two 970 boards that could support the 9370 is the 970A UD3 and 970A UD3P. Both have 8+2 power phase setup. But Gigabyte hasn't gave them a bios update for it.

Intel does not suck, that's BS, and I'm in no way biased, in fact I'm running a 8350 myself.

With that aside, it would honestly be a terrible idea to run a 9370 with a 970 board. Like really, that's an awful idea. And I doubt a Hyper 212 would be able to keep a 9370 cool under load, though I may be wrong on that.

Looks like you're friend started a thread on OCN: http://www.overclock.net/t/1476252/fx-9370-hyper-212-evo-and-asrock-970-extreme4
Yeah that's him, how did you figure it out?
Other 4 options would be:
a. 8350 + 990fx extreme3
b. 8320 + 990fx killer
c. 8350 + m5a99x evo r2.0
d. 8320 + m5a99fx pro r2.0

A, or C. Probably C, as it looks like it has slightly beefier heatsinks, and overall looks like it'd be a great board. The ASRock looks like a cheaper board based on the spec sheet and stuff.

How about the 8320 and killer? The killer looks very tempting to me.

Of all the things you listed here I would buy an 8320 and an ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.
Both are better in the price/performance charts. Now, I don't think you will get far in terms of overclocking, but a Evo 212 should be able to manage 4.6GHz I'd say.
