Okay, DNS doesn't impact latency either. Once the name resolves to an IP, DNS's function is done. Due to the volatility of packet based networks you may get differing latency values depending on network conditions when you test.

No, AT&T still had the IMEI for my Inspire in their system, even though I gave them the IMEI of my Nexus 5 when I got a new sim.

I looked through their site but it seemed a bit convoluted. The only $30 5 GB plan I could find was for data only.

Also, the republic phone routes any calls through wifi/SIP when you're at a hotspot on your same cell DID.

Yup, it's almost laughable I was fawning at 1.3mbps download speed just a few years ago. My current plan isn't even the fastest there is The speed is quite constant. My steam download average about 25mbps. TBH, most download isn't large enough for the speed to get up to maximum. First world problem, I know

It's not advertised on their site, it's a plan available when activating a new pre-paid plan on T-Mobile. 100 minutes, unlimited text, and unlimited data (5GB at 4G/LTE)

Ah. The 100 minutes is a bit of a killer although I appear to be non-social enough to come in under that value on occasion lol.
