Qosmio X500 Motheboard ? Vga CArd? Graphics Card?

So one day I was playing a game and without notice my pc got too hot near the screen area at the bottom, and it then shutdown forever. I send it down to repair and the guys said they would try to repair the motherboard. Today they say to me is the graphics card and I cannot repair I have to buy a new one or let them buy. So I asked for the reference number and they gave me this n/s: 34TZ1VB00E0

Because I want to buy it myself. But the thing is what do I BUY exactly?? I Have some experience. Is just that the store is gonna make me pay much more then if I buy it on my own. And After I buy I take it to a friend of mine that understands a lot and repairs pcs. But my question is, should I buy the entire motherboard ? And does the motherboard normally already has the vga card/ Graphic card or does that work ? And I have seen some graphic cards/vga cards going higher then the motherboard for the same pc. I really need some advise

Given your experience and the cost of a replacement GPU you'd probably be better off with another laptop, or at least having the shop order and fix it for you.
