Can/Should i overclock?

Hi so i pretty much never messed with overcloking because i didn't know if it's safe for my system i need you experts opinions if i can overclock and if it's worth it for me.

my specs:
CPU: Intel i3-3220 @3.30MHz
GPU: GTX 650 1GB version
PSU/case: Ippon A6-450w
Mobo: Gigabyte H61M-DS2H
RAM: 8gb ddr3 1333 kingston

can i overclock the GPU or the CPU, is it safe? how much will it boost my gaming fps?

I'm pretty sure the 'H' boards don't feature overclocking.

You could probably bump up the clocks on your GPU. Depending on the clocks achieved it's usually a fairly minor gain depending on the game, although expect an increase in heat and potential instability.
 
lets be honest overclocking that gpu, like the way you can, or mayby you have wc on the gpu, will not give you that much extra fps in any game, its nice for benchmark points, but not for games, if you want more fps and if you can buy a faster gpu.

same for the cpu, not only the motherboard isn't a great over clocker neither the cpu is.

I would not get a dedicated video card until you upgrade your power supply to a known good brand such as corsiar, seasonic, silverstone, Evga, etc. I'm assuming the power supply came with the case? If so, then units that come with cases are cheap and are not meant to use when having dedicated video cards. I'm sure the 450 watt unit is only outputting around 300 watts, if that.
 
now that i've spent 210$ on a new keyboard, headset, 64 bit windows and 4 more gb's of ram, i won't have the money to get a 760 anyway, should i go with a 750 ti? would that also require a new power supply? would the superclocked version work?
 
the 750ti will require a new psu too and every PCIe card will work on your motherboard so no worries.
 
Well looking at the nvidia website it says my current 650 requires a 400w psu at minimum but for the 750 ti the minimum psu required is only 300w, although the difference in wattage is only 4watts (75o ti - 60, 650 - 64) so i think i'll be alright?
Oh and i'd rather get the EVGA FTW edition if it'll also work...



edit: do you know any good but cheap power supply's to recomand?

A 750Ti will work fine on your current PSU. The system will be lucky to pull 300W from the wall.
