Changed motherboard and lost the internet

Hey guys,
I got my motherboard damaged and it forced me to replace with a new one but then the problems started. I lost the Network Adapter.
Now I have no LAN or WAN in my computer, I tried installing some driver but nothing worked. My laptop is MSI, everything was working fine before it got replaced and it was Windows 7 and now win xp.

How can I fix this carp, please help me out.
 
well for starters why replace win7 with xp??what motherboard do you have?post specs.did you try going to the motherboards manufacturers site for drivers?

I dont know which motherboard it is cuz that has been fixed by not me.
 
You will need to know what motherboard to know what drivers to use. Chances are it the same board that was in it. What model number is the MSI laptop?
 
So you had the damaged motherboard replaced, there is a good chance it was the same model if it was a recent build, but it's possible it was replaced with a newer motherboard. Motherboards differ for the chipset used and NIC (among other things), so that's why replacing a motherboard tends to require the correct drivers to be installed.

The biggest question I have, is why did you wipe your drive and downgrade from Windows 7 to Windows XP?

I always used to use win 7 but after this got damaged i gave it to a computer shop to get it repaired and they were saying laptop is going off again and again after they power on and said its cause of win 7, each time they install win 7 it causing the same. So literally they installed win xp and hasn't got any problems regarding making it ON.

I just want LAN and WAN back ;/

Sounds like you need to find a new computer repair shop. Windows is not to blame, it's a hardware issue if your computer keeps turning off. If the repair shop replaced the motherboard and downgraded you to XP, bring it back saying the NIC isn't working. If it's a modern computer it very well could be that the hardware is too new and there are no drivers available for a 13 year old operating system.

Bought it about an year ago or 2, it can be fixed if i give it to another shop but i'ma trying to fix it myself. Wouldn't now its that harder to install networ adapter drivers ;/
