I5 4690 tubo?

I thought that the (K) series is the only way to overclock so how can you get an extra .4GHz from the i5 4690?

- 3.5GHz / 3.9GHz Turbo
- 6MB Cache
- Quad-Core
- Integrated HD 4600 Graphics

All Core i series have turbo boost. It automatically bumps up the CPU when needed. But on the K series when you overclock you disable turbo anyway and keep it at whatever frequency you can make the chip run at stably.

that depends on your motherboard. my asus rog maximus hero vi boosts the multiplier for turbo boost only so my 4790k sits at 4ghz default but boosts to 4.6ghz
