I installed the extensions, Classic Theme Restorer 1.2.3 and Theme Font & Size Changer 31.2. I don't know if it is related but now Firefox will hang up and the screen will appear washed out. This will last for several minutes and then come clear. I am using windows 7 and Firefox 31. Is there a relationship with the extensions?

Never heard of those extensions, but disable them one at a time and find out if they are the issue.
Replace Firefox with Pale Moon instead, as it already uses the classic Firefox 24 theme.

Now I realize it is not just my Firefox, the same thing happens with my Windows Live Mail. Screen washes out on both, a not responding message on Firefox and if I wait for a couple of minutes it all comes clear.
