3com 2024 Baseline Switch Power Cord

Hi all,

I recently acquired a 3com 2024 Baseline Switch but unfortunately I didn't get a power cord with it. A standard PC power cord does fit in it however, I don't want to break it so avoided turning it on, should this work? Or do I need to get a different cable?

Here's a picture of it (dropbox link)

Thanks,
Jason

As stated, a standard PC power cord will work.

A lot of networking gear uses the same connectors.

Any grand plans for it? :D

Thanks for your replies. I just tried powering on the switch with several different cables but the power light does not come on, nothing happens. :(
Any ideas as to what could be wrong? Or am I just unlucky.. :p

Nothing much yet, but if it works I want to really expand my network, including wiring my house with ethernet cable.

Where'd you get it from, or was it just like 'here you go' type of thing?

Pretty much just 'here you go'.. I got it from someone who was moving from their building and no longer needed the networking equipment, I also got two patch panels that I know work but the switch wasn't plugged in so maybe it's just a dud.. but I'm hoping there's some relatively easy fix :p
