Remove 911 from Lock Screen?

I know this is kind of a safety flaw but I really need to find a way to get rid of 911 from my lock screen on my LG Optimus G Pro or make it at least harder to dial it. As it stands now there's a button at the bottom of the screen that if you press and hold it brings up an emergecy contact list with 911 being the first one. If you tap the call button it will call immediately. Why that sounds kinda detailed to get to I called 911 last night with my phone in my pocket and heard
"Hello this is 911" coming from my pocket. I hung up and they called me back asking if everything was okay. I explained what happened and the operator didn't seem to mind but I don't want it happening again as I know in some places you can get hit with fines or if I don't notice, have the police show up, which I don't want to deal with.

On several occasions I've pulled my phone out of my pocket with the emergency contact list pulled up already. One wrong tap and it would have dialed 911. Hell, it may have happened before and I haven't noticed.

I installed a different lock screen app and it didn't have the emergency thing on there but it looks and runs as if it was pulled from Android version 3 years ago and I don't really want to use that.

Any suggestions? I'm not really worried about ever having to dial 911 in an emergency as I'm never unable to open my phone and if I'm with someone else they for sure will have a phone as well.

I am open to the idea of rooting if necessary. (Geoff, if you see this I'll probably need some help with that. :D ).

Strange that they didn't come to the house, they did when it happened to me... like it was protocol to make sure the guy saying "Oops butt-dial" or "Wrong number, sorry" isn't suppressing someone from calling 911.

It was 1:30 in the morning in a college town of 20K students from an out of town area code. They're probably used to it. I was fairly detailed in explaining what happened and if they'd tracked it I'm in a dorm of several hundred other people. The operator was pretty relaxed about it. I'm sure some places are stricter than others.

And also the call had been going on for 25 seconds before I hung up and probably sounded like pocket noise anyway.

Geoff, I'll try that one you mentioned, and yeah, that's the one I tried. It was awful.
