Lightweight laptop...?

Looking for the lightest/smallest laptop that has the capacity to run software such as adobe photoshop/flash as well as software such as microsoft studios. basically the ability to program/compile 2d projects.

Not looking for any of that new tablet(touch screen)/laptop crap. that is beyond impractical for what i am looking for.

It would help if you told us what your budget was. You'll probably be looking at paying quite a bit if you want lightweight and powerful I'm afraid.
 
Well, I would suggest the MS Surface Pro 3 but since it's a tablet/laptop you don't want it. However, it's more than capable of doing what you want. I love mine.

perhaps a naive question, but how powerful would a computer need to be to be able to process software such as flash/actionscript?

And my budget atm would be at max $1000
