FPS is extremely low in all games.

I built my pc a couple of years ago (Summer 2011) and I have been getting some really low FPS issues currently: League of Legends, World of Warcraft and CoD Advanced Warfare. I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, but no luck. I have consistently checked to see if I have current drivers and they are. I have also tried moving the graphics card to different PCI slots on the motherboard and nothing. I have tried changing the 2 6-pins and that doesnt work.

My Build:
Mobo - ASRock 890FX Deluxe5 AM3+
GPU - R6870 Twin Frozr II 1GB 256-bit
PSU - XFX PRO750W
CPU - AMD Phenom II 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 4GB (x4) DDR3 1866
HDD - Western Digital Blue 1TB
SSD - Samsung 840 Evo
Monitor - Asus VE228H 21.5in (x2)
Keyboard - Corsair Vengeance K90
Mouse - Razer Naga 2012 Edition

I can give more information if needed. I tried supplying all the information I could think of. I really want this issue resolved, but I can't seem to figure out by myself. My friend had similar issues and people said on the forums that he potentially had some bad lanes on the motherboard that went to the PCI.

uninstall and delete your video cards drivers, as well as your sound drivers. then reinstall them. make sure no dust is blocking the fans from spinning on the video card or the processor.

I actually just installed Windows 8 on my computer about 2 months and it was the same issue prior. That's actually why I installed a new OS.

I checked my temperatures and my cpu is running at 34C and each core is at 24C min and 26c max without load. My graphics card is at 55C without load. I also realize that my graphics card can run both games without any problem, which is why I think I have a problem.

I used CPUID HWMonitor for CPU temps and MSI Afterburner for my GPU temps.

I also try to keep my computer dust-free majority of the time. It's currently clean.

My temperatures while playing The Forest:

CPU: 35C(Min) - 44C(Max)
Cores: 25C(Min) - 40C(Max)
GPU: 54C(Min) - 75C(Max)
30 fps avg and drops to 20fps and maxes at 60fps???

I also noticed something earlier as well. I went out to Fry's and bought another motherboard to see if that would fix the problem. I was getting ready to take my Corsair H70 off my cpu when the entire thing came off, H70 and cpu. The hold down for my mobo isnt holding the cpu down all the way. It is almost like the only thing holding it down is the H70 with the hooks. I do take my computer with me when I go to my parents house every other week so I am not doubting that that is the cause for that.

Any feedback on whether or not that may be the issue? the cpu hold down? If so, any way to fix without having to buy a whole new mobo or do I just tighten down my H70?

Temperatures and other info from the load test.

I've had that happen before with my CPU. The thermal paste acts as basically an adhesive and if you take off the cooler sometimes the CPU will come with it. Just reseat it and you should be fine.

What kind of FPS are you getting in other games because that doesn't sound too out of the ordinary. Temperatures are fine. GPU is a tad toasty but it's not too bad and isn't your problem.

So I am running WoW on ultra and my fps changes anywhere from 10-20fps in any zone I am in and is constantly spiking and dipping. I am in an area by myself and my fps is anywhere from 15-29fps when I start walking around.

Your computer is just not powerful enough. Turn down the visual settings until you get a stable 30fps or higher.
