Is my SD card faulty?

I have a Samsung NX2000 which is fantastic. Picture quality is awesome. When I bought the camera, I bought a Kingston 32GB card for the size. Recently, in-camera when viewing the gallery, the camera will just freeze. Sometimes it won't even allow me to view the gallery, the camera will just freeze with a rotating "loading" screen. I've tried to place the sd card into a reader and view them on my PC but again the PC will recognize the card and a few seconds later disconnect the card "Please insert disk into drive /:E" whatever the drive is called.

I've put my Sandisk 4gb into the camera and all seems to be fine. However 4gb is relatively small for this camera. I'm just wondering whether there's a maximum capacity for the camera. I don't want to buy another card and for the problem to persist. I have tried to research on the net but nothing has come up of it.

My guess would be the card since its having issues in both computer and camera.

^ pretty much that.

The camera supports SDXC so whatever capacity you'd prefer would work in there.

Also, where did you buy the card from? If it was a chinese copy from eBay it was probably flashed to report a higher capacity but in all reality may only have 2 GiB of actual storage or similar.

Bought it off Amazon. Just will not operate at all. Crashes in-camera use and on PC.

Rma it if you can and buy something different.

It was bought well over 9/10 months ago and was only £13ish so I'm not worried about that. It hasn't worked well since I bought it to be honest. It kept crashing when I tired to view the gallery on the camera. I managed to get it to work by taking another photo then it would allow me to view the gallery. But recently the situation is worse.

Formatting it deletes everything on it and gives it a fresh start. Sometimes that does help.

I understand formatting deletes everything. But I suppose if it was never operating as it should from when I started using it, perhaps it's just a shit sd card? My Sandisk 4gb works wonderful. However, 4gb for my camera gives me shy of 300 snaps. I may just buy a Sandisk 32gb card and hope for the best. Because the Kingston one I have is just rubbish. Problems from when I bought it.
