Hey all,

So basically I play somewhat moderns games (Starcraft 2 HotS and CS:GO) but my crappy 6 yr old laptop cant handle it anymore so im looking for a replacement one. I do not need an expensive gaming computer just a laptop with decent specs. I am also on a budget of $500-$600.

After searching the internet i found these...

Although one of them cost more than my budget im willing to save up for it.

Now obviously the second one is better but it is more expensive. Now my question is will the cheaper laptop be able to run the games listed above, i will br playing on everything set to low btw.

Thanks

The second one is better due to its dedicated graphics. The other only has Intel graphics which are built in and ok at performance, but not as good as the dedicated chip. Does it have to be a laptop?

For $800 you could build a pretty good desktop which will be far better performing for the money. You may even be able to save money and still have something far superior.

You'll be disappointed if you get the first one. The 840M in the second one is a solid mobile GPU. My laptop has a 740M, which is almost the same performance wise, and I can play CS:GO with ease as well as numerous other games like Skyrim , Dirt 3, and WoW at med-high settings.
