3rd HDD disappearing

So I hooked up my 3TB and it's partitioned as a whole. Everytime I boot up, it disappears and I have to open one of my partition management programs to "re-enable" it.

Thoughts? Does it need to be partitioned to 2TB or less?

Other question, how simple would it be to clone my OS over to it and start using it as my main drive?
 
It seems your motherboard has UEFI so it should be fine. I would run seatools on the drive to verify its good. Run the extended test.
 
Interestingly enough it passed. I'm going to format it to 2TB and see it it'll stay through a reboot.

It worked. Formatted disk size is 1.9TB (2,000,000MB).

UEFI might not be enabled.
