Can Windows 7 be Re-Installed Without Having any backups or Discs

If needed, can Windows 7 be re-installed fresh if you don't have It on disc or any recovery discs? This is on an HP store bought computer that is maybe 4-5 years old.

Also - would ALL drivers need to be reinstalled and if so, what is the best way to get a list of needed drivers? Thanks in advance. Going to try to clean the computer first - but if it doesn't work would rather just start fresh.

Is the Recovery Partition no longer there? You could download from Microsoft the version it originally came with and use the CoA Key on the computer to activate it.

I don't think I have any of these. Damnit. Thanks for the info!

This is correct.

you either need a recovery disk, install disk or a recovery partition to do this.

This is not. Well, everything he said is true, but you can also create your own for free if you've got an 8GB flash drive laying around and a downloaded iso file.

You can use this tool from Microsoft to make the USB drive. Which version do you have and is it 32 bit or 64 bit? You can find an ISO file below. Normally I'd link you to Microsofts official download for it but I actually can't seem to find it. x86 = 32 bit, x64 is 64 bit. Just select the corresponding version from this list.

You could also try this but it's not loading for me.

Man even the ones on the page I linked don't work. You might have to find a friend or somebody that has a disc lying around. Maybe contacting Microsoft might get you somewhere also.

If anyone needs a copy of windows 7 home 64bit, let me know as I have it on dropbox.

Unfortunately, it looks like Microsofts official iso page is down for some reason.

You can get the OEM restore disks from HP.
