EMI problems

So I have had this problem on my desktop since I built it, and I don't know how to fix it. I've looked into it and I'm pretty sure what I'm experiencing is EMI. It makes my microphone staticy, and I get a slight high pitched noise in my headphones. Does anybody know how to fix this?

what headphones are you using, are they just standard stereo ones or usb powered ones like turtle beach's. which ports aswell, front or back?

Problem could be in the speaker settings in the system tray. I say that because a while back i had to go into the settings and play with them. cant tell ya which ones because i played with all before getting it to work. you can left click or right click and get access to different settings.

and how would I update it?

This should be your audio driver. Uninstall the current one and install this if it's not the same version. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4591#dl

Note the Rev number at the top. 1 or 2. On the corner of the mother board will have the Rev number. Might be bottom left near the PCI sockets. If you still have the box it might say on there as well.

Not sure if this will help and as stated could be your audio settings.
