I am a wedding photographer. I would like to have a pc which I can use in my car when on road trips. Roadtrip are several days long. I need something more powerful than my notebook. Is there something on the market or I have to build it myself?

I've removed the link to your website because it is considered spam.

I would like to have something like a desktop pc but portable. It would be awesome if I could just take out and put it into my minivan and start working on it on the back seat...

Dell used to have an XPS that was a collapsible all-in-one. It wasn't the greatest design though. I know they make large 19" and larger tablets, but I don't know specs or price and can't look at the moment.

What spec have you got for your existing laptop? You can get a powerful laptop instead.

You can build a small desktop, but I don't see how you can get it work in a car. Are you taking a monitor?

It's doable-ish I would still side with a more powerful laptop if it were up to me.

Gigabyte has the Brix series that can have more power than your nicer laptops, but they are costly and heat up quickly.

Brix Gaming with i7-4710HQ and GTX 760 If you need CUDA support for Photoshop applications

or

Brix Pro with Core i5-4570R 3.2GHz and Iris Pro Graphic 5200 If you rely on the CPU for rendering

1080p usb display http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H0FK2A6/ref=psdc_1292115011_t2_B00FE690DI

Boot/OS/Application SSD- http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-850-m...6011_1_23?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1433607924&sr=1-23

Photo storage - http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Lapto..._feature_keywords_three_browse-bin:4990425011

Or get another 2.5" SSD or a larger mSATA drive

16gb of 1600 DDR3L SODIMM - http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Hype...=1433607543&sr=1-3&keywords=16gb+ddr3l+sodimm

Remember, if your power jack in your car looses power, the PC goes offline. Also you will need to figure out if your car outlets can even supply the power needed for this system.

Thanks so much!!!
WOW! I like the Brix Gaming solution! I agree it must be really hot when used. I didn't really think about when I accidentally turn off the car and I lose everything.... I think powerful laptop is the solution.

What was the problem with the Dell XPS series? I was thinking about the Dell XPS 27" model? Any feedback?

All in ones generally overheat since all of the hardware is mounted on that back of the display. It will also have the same power problem as the Brix solution. Loose power from the car, PC shuts down.

Do you have a budget in mind? It would be best to look at the workstation laptops from Dell, HP and Lenovo. There are others as well, but I would start there.

Nah, the ones I was talking about were like very large laptops, but had the processing power of a desktop.
