1 line signature limit ?

I tried to update my signature and for some reason I am only being allowed 1 single line.

Is this a new rule or a glitch in the move to xenforo ?

Also my new threads don`t seem to appear in the new posts section.

Yeah, i'm finding the new posts isn't the same as it was on Vbulletin. What I'm finding is that the new posts will show the new ones since your last visit but the posts below them aren't in order. So what you have to do exactly is this.

1. click on New posts first.
2. Then click on recent posts on the right side to actually show recent posts in order of posting.

I use the new post button myself, but I've noticed the font for the forum/thread is in bold if there are new replies or posts. That's enough for me.

I also mark forums as read once I open the new posts page, so whenever I go to the new posts page again, it's only new posts.

Looks like there is a 1 line limit for signatures along with only 1 link can be used.

The signature line limit was intentionally reduced, whenever you look at a page it was just like one line of content and then ten plus line of signature which had been read a thousand times before

Maybe reduce it to 2-3 lines?

Or is there some over way we can neatly post our system info on all our posts?
The intention was to at some point use the profile pages to list system info rather than have it appear a million times scattered through every thread.

I kinda agree. I posted system spec. at one time in my signature. After awhile its gets redundant. What kind of computer someone has doesn't really reflect their computer knowledge.

Although it does help in some situations such as "Oh I'm having CPU problems with X" and then you have a specific reference to the board and other components they have such as the most horrendous Hercules 500w, for reference :p

It helps when you post an issue, and we know your specs.

Most new members that post a questions don't even have the spec. in the signature yet anyway. End up asking.

We are computer enthusiasts, part of our passion is building computers, which we like to show off as specs in our signature. I see nothing wrong with that as long as it's not 10 lines of insanely large, multi-colored text. It's the same as car enthusiasts having a photo or specs of their modded cars, or photography forums where people list their gear.

Does our version of Xenforo have a show/hide option for signatures? I see a few posts on the idea on other forums, but didn't see a clear answer on if it was integrated already, needed a pre packaged add on, or needed to be developed separately.

I see that we also have a "like" feature now. I think it would be nice if we turn this into a "thanks" button, and have a "thanks" meter next to each user like other forums have.
