Parts I selected for my new Gaming Rig. What do you think?

I'd advise against that Seagate HDD (Get a Hitachi or Western Digital).

I'd also recommend checking out the Fractal Design R5 if you're looking for asthetics because personally, I would need all the drive bays that HAF comes with. :p

Otherwise do you think this is a good build?

Nothing wrong with Seagate, they are all pretty similar when it comes to reliability as far as their consumer line goes.

Are you set on the 390X? I'd look at the 980 as well.

Ill take a look ... what would be the difference between them other than one be nvidea and other ati

Pretty much. It's insane what you can build for the $ now.

2 of my 3TB barracuda drives have failed now :(

And I've had 0 that failed. Read the reviews on any mechanical drive and you will see many reports of failure, it's really just the luck of the draw.

i would advise against the corsair cx series power supplies. i recently built a computer with that same power supply and the 24 pin connector would not plug into the motherboard. corsair has apparently known about the problem but never corrected it. corsair higher end power supplies, rm series are good to go.

Sounds like a layer 8 issue to me.

User problem.

I always use corsair cx430 for my client builds, have had no problem connecting the 24pin connector. Sometimes you just have to go at an angle and insert the 4pin side first and it goes right in. Also make sure you are connecting the right way as it will only go in one way.

Installed many/many corsair PSUs and never had that problem. Of all of them only one had a defect with the 6 pin PCIe connector. It was deformed slightly. Still fit but they replaced it anyway. Anymore I try to just get PSUs made by either Seasonic/CWT or even Flextronics can make a good unit. Chicony Power Technology are making some of Corsairs, don't know much about them. Seems to be some of the TX/RM series. The CS are made by Greatwall, haven't really looked into them either. The CX series are all CWT or Seasonic models. Even though I have had a little more problems with them the last couple of years, I would still recommend a Seagate over Hitachi.

Solid build really, nothing much to pick on you for here. I rock the same PSU, about a month in and I'm doing perfectly fine so far.
Seagate drives really aren't any worse than anything else, the only ones I've ever heard of being a bit sub-par is the Toshiba drives.

I'm rocking 2 Seagate drives in my build, no issues so far.
