So my LCD screen on my Lenovo laptop stopped working, I remover the display and have been using an externs monitor and it's been working without any problem.

Today I decided to cut the cables which were attached to the screen before I removed it, the cables were the camera and the display cable, after cutting thedge cable the laptop stopped working, it wouldnt power on.
The laptop is getting power because when I press the power bottom the fan start's to spin for as long as I press the power button and the fan continues runs when I plug in the AC adapter.

Can someone please help me, I don't know what the problem is

Some laptops won't fully power on unless the video cable is connected. I know this first hand as I've seen it before. Looks like you'll be buying a new laptop.

The laptop worked when the cables wasn't attached to the LCD for a very long time, it's just when I cut it then it stopped working, do you think I should replace the cable?

And could I have short circuited the motherboard by cutting it?

Yeah, its possible you have shorted the wires in the cable and its stopping it from running. Not sure if a new cable would fix it or not.
