I've worked on computers my entire life but I never bothered to learn what goes into a good one so I would love some help in knowing what to look for

My budget is about 1000$ Canadian
I would prefer to have a prebuild computer or I could just have someone else build it with the parts I buy. I have no time to build one myself
I dont play many games but that might change if its strong enough to do it. If not, I just wouldnt play games on it, no big deal. It would need to be strong enough to run large programs though. Like zbrush, maya, and unreal engine 4 and also run a monitor tablet which I'm planning on buying later. Probably the HUION GT-185HD tablet.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

What sites would you be willing to purchase from?
I only know of NCIX and Newegg in Canada, other than amazon and ebay.

theres plenty of sites and stores around, canadacomputers, NCIX, Newegg, DirectCanada, TigerDirect, etc. I wouldn't be opposed to buying from the US either if something isnt available in Canada for some reason

Unreal engine 4 is the most graphically demanding program on your list, a GTX 960 is possible in your budget.

Prebuilt computers with these specs cost around 1000 Canadian dollars:
  • GTX960
  • 1TB HDD
  • 8GB DDR3
  • i5 4460
  • OS Windows 8.1 or 10
