Anyone obtain anything amazing?

I am not in the market for too much this year so maybe a little light on enthusiasm, although picked up Ass Creed Unity and Dishonored on PS4 for $5 after using a $15 rewards certificate since no new enticing games seem to be released in the near-term (although the backlog from recent releases is ENORMOUS  )

I'm trying not to spend money. Although I bought Rust last night for $13 and I just saw GTA:V is $35 on Steam right now.

Not computer related but Walmart has a 70" Vizio TV on sale for $898

Sold out already. I'm actually wanting the 65" though.

Currently have a 42" in the living room and its too small, plus its over 7 years old. Also wanting to get a soundbar with it. Still waiting for my promotion to be approved at work so will have to wait until more money comes rolling in. :(

I glanced at a few sites and read some emails, but nothing appealed to me, honestly I don't have a need for anything right now. I had bookmarked a few items on Amazon that I wanted to buy at some point, but they are all more expensive today than they were a week ago.

Instead of spending money on stuff I didn't need, I went for a 2 hour hike.

Yeah most of the stuff I have wishlished are over $50

PowerColor PCS+ R9 390 8GB for $245

$289.99 - $20 MIR - $25 Visa Checkout Promo.

I could pick up a nice MSI GTX 970 4GB for $319 on Amazon but I shouldn't.....

I don't buy AMD cards anymore. nVidia FTW. Especially since AMD's drivers regularly blow chunks.

I have issues few and far between, and just as much trouble with the Nvidia drivers on my laptop as I do with the AMD drivers on my desktop.

Owning only Radeons since the 9600XT it seems to me that most people create their own driver issues.
Having had AMD video cards for the past 6+ years, and now owning an Nvidia, I can say Nvidia has much better drivers. I've had numerous times with driver installation issues, failure of CCC loading, Overdrive settings not sticking, and huge discrepancies in benchmarks between driver revisions.

Overdrive is pretty garbage for overclocking. I get more stability using MSI Afterburner for the same clocks. I usually see people recommending MSI Afterburner or other overclocking software when talking about AMD cards. I'm not a fan of CCC either, hopefully the new Crimson software suite is a better package all around.

I haven't had any issues with my AMD cards yet. I used Sapphire TriXX to overclock and downloaded ONLY the AMD drivers instead of CCC.

This R9 390 will be interesting considering it isn't a "normal" brand but it was a much better deal than the Nvidia couterpart imo.

Bought a 750Ti ($89.99) for my little brothers entry build. Only had $400 so it worked out paired with a FX-6300. He currently plays on my 4 year old i7-2XXX / GT540M laptop.
