Some water got into my Dell Lattitude E6430 laptop, while I fell asleep and left it on. I woke up and saw that it was off, it didn't come on when i pressed the power button. I then noticed the charger had no light even when it was not plugged into the laptop. The light came on after a while in the laptop charger but as soon as I plugged it in the charger light turn off immediately. None of the indicator lights in the laptop came on during all this. I left it in an AC room for 3 days to dry out without the bottom case on and without the memory, cd-drive and hard drive. After re-assembly, I then tried the charger again and also a different charger but it was the same result. Can anyone advise me on what to do to get it working?

You have most likely fried some internal components on the motherboard. AC won't dry out a laptop. Something is shorting out since the charger light will go off once you plug it in.

So I'll strip it down to the motherboard and leave it in a warm environment for a bit and hope it'll dry out. I'll take it to a repair shop if nothing changes after that. Anything else I can do? or suggestions....Thanks for responding by the way

At this point, the only thing you can do is let it dry out in a warm place for a few days. If that don't help then its ruined the motherboard. Some places won't even attempt to diagnose water damaged laptops.

Wow. Alright I have faith, and whatever the LORD's will is I will gladly accept it.
I'll let it dry in a warm place like you said and see what happens. Thank you for your support and speedy responses. I'll let you know how it goes and keep watching for any other suggestions or alternatives

It's most likely dead. When the power adapter light goes off when you plug it in means there is a short in the motherboard.

Have you considered or even thought of taking it to a reputable PC repairer for a written report and then using this report as proof of condition to claim off your insurance Company? If you have it insured you will need an engineers report which you submit with your claim form to your insurer, make copies of all paperwork to keep yourself.
