Hello everyone,

First of all, i know that there are tons of topics like this one, but this is my first time actually picking parts for computer and i am totally afraid that they wont fit together and it will just not work so i decided to write on a forum like this one to ask the pros

I want my computer to be able to handle games like GTA V on ultra and high fps, i saw a video with even worse graphics and worse CPU running it on ultra on 1080p so hopefully this one gets it done.

My currently picked components :

MOTHERBOARD : MSI B150M PRO-VDH
PROCESSOR : Intel Core i5-6600K
GPU : GIGABYTE GTX 960 WINDFORCE 2x gaming 4gb
RAM : Kingston 8GB DDR4 2133MHz CL14 HyperX Fury Black Series
PSU : EVGA 500B
HDD : Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1000GB Advanced Format
CASE : Computer Case C-TECH ARES black-red
FAN FOR PROCESSOR : i dont know so far

later i will buy SSD and upgrade ram to 16gb

So my questions are :
Will the GPU and CPU and RAM work with the motherboard ?
Which fan for the processor ? ( i want a cheap one, for around 20-40 euro )
Is the PSU enough for this setup ?
Will all the parts fit in the computer case ?
Is the HDD good ?

Thanks in advance !

You might want to spring for a Z170 board for the overclocking options.

Otherwise doesn't look too bad.

I don't want to overclock my CPU, i heard that it can cause stabillity issues with the OS so i won't even bother... i am not a 100% gamer anyway... this should hopefully run GTA V on 1680x1050 easily :)
but i think i will replace the seagate HDD with WD BLUE 1000GB 64mb cache, what do you think about this one ?

Thanks for response !

You could save a chunk of change in that case and get a 6600 non-K, they both have the same turbo frequency.

HDD are largely synonymous around the same specs. I usually buy HGST drives.

isnt Turboboost overclocking ? I am very new to all of this stuff :D
I think i might go the 6600K way and buy a fan

Think turbo isn't overclocking just a small boost in clock speed the cpu goes to under load automatically. There really is no point buying the k version with that motherboard if your not overclocking. The non k version will serve you fine. Just like you already mentioned get an sSD and up to 16gb of ram later. And you should max out modern games at 1080p no higher, for at least a couple of years and then just gpu upgrade leave the rest the same.

Is the motherboard bad ?

B series motherboards don't generally give you any overclocking options. K series CPUs have unlocked multipliers which are overclocking options.

You can generally save $20-30 by getting a non-K CPU which does not have an unlocked multiplier.

Thanks for your answer ! I understand it now

Usually pick of good value CPU cooler is Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo, but the heatsink is quite tall, not all case take it.
