I have a couple of questions. I have Windows Vista. I have couple of windows.old file folders and I am trying to just get rid of the one I don't need. When I did disk cleanup I didn't have the option to cleanup the folders I don't need. Is there a way to just delte 1?

Second, I have a windows OS that I am trying to delte of my HDD. How do I do this?

1. Delete them manually. Right click and choose Delete. Make sure any old user data (docs, pictures, etc) you may want is moved out of there.

2. Boot to something like Darik's Boot and Nuke and format the drive.

Ok, I did Dban and accidentley erased my OS. I reinstalled it. Now The files I have are on a lost partition. How can I get to those files?
You don't accidentally delete your OS. It warns you what it's doing.

You asked how to do this and I told you. You didn't say you had a dual-boot scenario going on.
