Can someone help me find a computer with these specs?

First off sorry if this is in the wrong place I'm new to this forum.

So I've been looking for a new computer for literally 1 and a half years now (ik.. I mainly just put it off for a while). Can someone help me find a gaming desktop that's about $1,050 or under (if you find one that's like $1100 or something still post it because I can be flexible) with these specs (or related specs like a different gpu/cpu at the same/faster speeds)

Intel i7 (no lower than 5820) abt 3.0GHz
GeForce GTX960 or 970m 4G DDR4
8GB ram
ATLEAST 1T hard drive
And preferably like 256GB SSD.

Also if anyone happens to know of a quality monitor under $130 that would be great too (if not its all good)!

EDIT: I would prefer on the gpu that it's 970

Thanks!

Why not just build it yourself? Then you don't have to look for a prebuilt and can dictate what specific parts you want.

Since you indicated no lower than 5820 you're going to get completely gouged for the 2011 platform unless you build yourself.

I honestly considered that but when it comes to computers im almost like an Amish person trying to figure out what a phone is. Plus I'm pretty busy for the next few months so I would never find the time.

Well, if you want the 5820K then your looking at this at almost $1400

But I would highly recommend going with the lastest socket Intel has.

Around $1225

Awesome thanks dude. I'll probably just save up a little more and go for the $1225. I was also thinking of just getting a cheap rig and upgrading. Idk tho.

Ok so if I use those parts from pc part picker (the $1402 one) do they build it for me? If so I'm totally going with that.

No, it's just a site that lists compatible parts and gives you prices on builds. There is no 'build it for you' component. If you picked that up from a vendor you'd probably pay $2k+

Ok. Would you happen to know of any way I can get a cheap pc with same if not similar specs where you chose the parts and they build it based off what you picked? I really don't want to have to build it because if I did I guarantee I'll mess something up and won't know how to fix it.

I charge 50 -60 bucks to build computers for clients. As beers said you'll pay a lot more money for a pre built configuration like that. You best bet would be to find someone to build it for you if you don't want to.

Can I get your email so I can further contact you about getting mine pre built?

Are you sold on X99 or would you consider a Z170 build?

Most vendors like CyberPower PC can customize whatever builds they have, but also offer various platforms like mentioned above.

Thanks for the link I may actually get one from there!

I have another question: I'm getting a GTX960m gpu. Is it worth getting dual graphics cards with that kind or even getting a GTX970m? And can I have a conbo of a GTX960 and 970 in the same PC? I appreciate everyone helping out so far.

The 960M is for laptops I believe, so don't get that. You can have both 970 and 960 in the same machine but not use them together except for something like CUDA based PhysX or other software. SLI requires the same GPU.

Ok. I'll just get 2 970s eventually. How can I use them at the same time/together? Or does it already do that? I'm also going to be using photoshop for graphic design classes so I know how to chose which gpu to use for that but what about gaming? I don't do heavy gaming. I just play modded Minecraft and stranded deep (May actually get some other games later).

Anything with an M behind it is laptop video cards and will not work for desktop pc's. If all you play is minecraft then you don't need 2 video cards or even 1 970. A gtx750ti would be fine. So you really don't need anything high end even for a cpu.

I don't just play Minecraft. I play Minecraft with literally hundreds of mods that completely eats through my memory. I would like to play it with at a minimum of 70fps if not more. Also I'm going to start playing other games. I would prefer a 970 eventually. I've seen a lot of Youtubers like PeteZahHutt that has 2 gpu and Logdotzip has a GTX980.

OK. if cyberpower pc doesn't help you then I would ask around at different computer shops to see how much they would charge to build your system with your specific parts you want.

So I'm customizing my PC on that link right now. I was just thumbing through the tabs below under software and realized is an extra $100 to get Windows 8.1. If I check the box to "none" what OS do I get by default? Btw it started as none and it said something like "hard drive only" or something I don't remember.

Ok. Do you think fries or Best Buy would do that?

You won't get any OS.

Fry's should be able to do that, even a Microcenter if you have one close to you. Other than those, I would do some research to see who in your local town builds computers. Takes roughly 30 minutes or so build a pc and then another 30 or so to install an OS.

Ok. I might just buy from Cyberpower PC because it's easier and faster. The one I customized turned out to be $1488 so I went pretty much $500 over my budget which sounds crazy but I'll do with it.

You won't get any OS.

Why would that be an option?

If you don't select an OS, you won't get one. They will assume you have your own. Should just have someone build it for your with your specific parts, will save money.
