grub-install /dev/sda fatal error?

I solved this by reinstalling linux mint on another drive, i can still get to my 250 GB ssd(the on with the install error) but i could not edit, or make files. this is cuz Root ownes this drive for some reason. so i used terminal to open nemo(file explorer) as root, and than i made my self the owner of the drive.



im installing linux mint Rosa, and i get this error:




grub-install /dev/sda fatal error



NOTE:

im installing a 32 bit version of linux mint on a 64 bit processor, i dont know if that would make a change or not, but just to let ya know.

IM not in the terminal, i just clicked the desktop icon that says install linux mint, i clicked thru all the steps, but when it got to the boot loader,

it came with error: grub-install /dev/sda fatal error

Go back to the menu, try again, say NO to "automatically install to MBR of first hard drive" and manually tell it /dev/sdb.
