Problems with graphics

Hello,
I am fairly new to the computer building. I am having problems with my graphics. I have everything updated and drivers installed. My problem is, is when i go to play a game the graphics are not quality. I am playing American Truck simulator. Everything is kind of nintendo graphics. Like the square kind of edges on the trees and bushes. Thats the best i can explain.

Here is a simple breakdown of my computer -

Windows 10 64 bit
Asus p55 motherboard
Intel I5 processor
8 gigs ram
1tb hd
750 watt psu
Gtx 8800 video card ( i had 2 bridged and took 1 out. Still no different. I even went and bought a msi gtx 950. Still no different.)

So theres the basics. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Did you change the graphics settings and resolution in the game? Does this happen to other games?
 
Stupid question here. Did you install the video drivers? Things will look bad when a generic driver is installed.
 
No question is a stupid question. Yes i did. I have that gforce experience installed. It updates them automatically. And i check for updates myself.
 
Well the 8800gtx is a real old card. As long as your physically connected to the video card and not the onboard video connector then you shouldn't be having any problems.
 
But i also got a brand new 950. No different. I was also told something about my cpu clock speed in bios. Could that be the problem?

That doesn't have any influence on image quality.

Can you post a screen shot from in game? That might tell us what settings to suggest. Also, your desktop may be set for 1080p but some games 'auto detect' at lower resolutions that make things look like garbage.

Also, American Truck Simulator doesn't seem to have the greatest graphics ever. Not really a knock against it but it's hard to tell what you're experiencing without some sort of visual comparison.

Ok. Ill take a picture and post it a little later today. I have a buddy that has the same game and it looks great. The computers are fairly similar. But he only has an old 4550 radeon. Ill screenshots of both and you can see the difference.
