My laptop won't turn on. I have troubleshooted it and it turns out it is because of a hard drive problem.
Here is the scenario:
Laptop won't open if this seagate hard drive of mine is connected, power indicator only blinks, as if it is in hibernate mode, fan is not moving, totally not on.
I tried removing the hard drive, then turning on the laptop. The laptop now flashes BIOS.
I tried connecting a different hard drive, western digital hard drive, Laptop flashes BIOS.
I tried connecting my old seagate hard drive, the laptop wont turn on, still fan not working just the blinking light that looks its in hibernate mode.
So in here I can see the seagate hard drive is the one who is faulty but I would like to ask, is that even possible? How come a hard drive can prevent a laptop/pc from booting even just to BIOS?
