Are my specs good for gaming?

I feel you on that!

As for GPU... these would be most common options from Nvidia and AMD

Nvidia GTX970, GTX980, GTX980Ti

AMD R9 380, R9 390, R9 390X

Are they all the same? As in quality. I would perfer to buy the best one but if they have all the same quality I would obviously buy cheapest one

No, they are all different...and to confuse even further..there are others of 'higher' performance, but with much higher price tags. I wish we knew prices on the brand spanking new stuff coming out - but perhaps if you are that gung ho to get top stuff..maybe waiting for the GTX 1000-series to drop makes sense?!

I think that what might be best is figure out the budget you want to work in first.. whether its $1500 or $2000 and then we can give you a build that is the best within the budget..because honestly.,.sky is the limit with computer parts.

my head is spinning. I'll just go to the Nvidia GTX 9700 with 4 Gb. It's a bit pricey and the total comes out to $1840, which is a good price considering I'm buying a lot of razer items but the desktop itself is $1396, $200 more than the Un-customized one. What do you think?

God honest truth..I would skip all the overpriced Razer stuff and focus on the core build. Put your money into a badass system, rather than gimmicky peripherals.

I'm first going to build my badass system, the razer stuff is another purchase. I might buy it at Best Buy b/c I save some money over there...

I know gamers will probably tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about and the rest of it, but honestly what good is a £100 mouse and a £100 keyboard for gaming if you've had to buy a weaker system to afford those hideously overpriced peripherals and as a result of that you don't have the power to even play the game in the first place? At least if you spend all of your money on a great system and don't worry too much about peripherals you can still play the game on your nice system even if you do have to use what you might consider to be 'crappy' peripherals. ;)

I agree with @spirit
I use a ghetto wired keyboard from an old ACER desktop and a $40 logitech mouse and a $40 xbox controller and all they work perfectly fine.
